Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar died today in a tragic plane crash near Baramati Airport, triggering shock and grief across the state. The chartered aircraft he was travelling in crashed while attempting an emergency landing. All passengers and crew on board were killed.

According to initial reports, the private jet was flying from Mumbai to Baramati when it faced technical issues during landing. Eyewitnesses said the aircraft lost balance before crashing and catching fire near the runway. Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but there were no survivors.
Ajit Pawar was one of Maharashtra’s most influential political leaders and played a key role in the state government. Following the incident, the Maharashtra government announced three days of state mourning as a mark of respect.
